Whether sunk on purpose as an artificial reef or the result of mishap, wrecks open fascinating windows to the past. Most divers find wrecked ships, airplanes and even automobiles nearly irresistible because they’re intriguing to explore, exciting avenues of discovery, and usually teeming with aquatic life. The PADI Wreck Diver course teaches you the ins and outs of rewarding, responsible wreck diving. The PADI Wreck Diver course consists of a minimum of 4 wreck dives 1 of which can be counted from your Adventure of Advanced Open Water course if you completed a Wreck Adventure dive.
We have a dive package for the Wreck Specialty which includes two 2-tank boat dives , a 1-tank dive on the Kittiwake and a 1-tank shore dive on the Wreck of the Cali which can be scheduled over a few days. This package includes four Wreck Specialty dives (Cali, Kittiwake and the option for 2 others which could be The Doc Poulson, The Oro Verde, The Nicholson or Balboa. These sites are subject to availability as they are all on a first come first served mooring system. You will learn wreck assessment, mapping, how to lay lines and penetrate overhead environments.
Once you arrive on island you will be given the Wreck Diver Specialty DVD to borrow and watch on your own time and manual to review in conjunction with your in-water dive training.
This package also includes your Wreck Specialty course materials and Medallion for the entrance to the Kittiwake and your Certification Processing Fees with PADI.
Please review the PADI Medical Questionnaire prior to enrolling in any PADI training course. If you answer "YES" to any of the medical issues it does not necessarily disqualify you from Scuba Diving - it just means your pre-existing condition could possibly affect your safety while diving and you must seek your Physician's approval to dive.
